I will not wear a Hillary for President t-shirt.
I will pass the state real estate exam (Hopefully on the first attempt)
My stepmom’s support group will continue to grow and meaningful relationships will be formed.
I will not freak out when I see ED at work.
My relationship with Son#1 will improve.
God will still be in control.
Life has been hectic since I started real estate school and changed jobs. My Hubby’s job has also been unusually crazy and has required that he be out of town for a significant part of the last month. The boys have seen the other houses in the neighborhood get all dressed up for the season, and they helped their Grandmother decorate her tree right after Thanksgiving, so on December 4th, when nothing had happened at our house, Son #3 asked me if we were planning to celebrate Christmas this year. UGH. I promised him that we would get the tree up this weekend.
On Wednesday, My Hubby was taking the kids to school and Son#3 asked him the same question. My Hubby decided right then that he would take the day off and get the lights up on the outside of the house. What a wonderful surprise! Then, on Friday, after he picked the kiddos up, they came home, set up the tree, hung the stockings and decorated the rest of the inside of the house. By the time I got home from work, it looked to me like we were planning to celebrate Christmas this year!
Now most of you are thinking, how sad that Tulip Girl did not get to participate in setting up the tree, etc. with her kids and normally I would completely agree, however this year, with all that is going on, it was a relief that it was already done!
It is wonderful that My Hubby, with all that he has going on, could see that I needed a little help in this area and decided to just get it done.
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful loving husband!
I have started my new job and I am loving it. There is a lot to get my arms around, and I am certainly being challenged, but I am loving it!
It turns out that the building that I now office in also happens to be the building that the ED offices in. Also, it is the building that my friend Stephanie’s ED offices in. Our ED and Steph’s ED do not work for the same company, that would be too weird, thank goodness!
Okay, so imagine if you will, a long, rectangular building. My office is on the second floor in the center of the building. The ED’s are on the first floor at opposite ends. Does this make my office the vortex of evil? I jokingly said that to Steph one day and fortunately she laughed. I have decided that since I am in the middle and my office is on the second floor, I will be able to cover the building with prayer on a daily basis. For this reason, I have decided that it really is not the vortex of evil, but the vortex of prayer.
God has been faithful, as always. It turns out that our ED had major surgery the week before Thanksgiving and will be out of the office until January. I feel as if God has given me a 6 week reprieve from being worried about running into her! Not that I would wish surgery on anyone, but if she had to have surgery, God certainly took care of the timing!
